Dan & Laura … are fun =)

This weekend was AWESOME!! Who’s with me? We had to take advantage of it so we took care of 3 engagement sessions and they all went so well I just couldn’t believe how smooth the session was and how well the images turned out!I have a lot to post but I am going to split them up starting with our session today of Dan and Laura. Holly actually edited them mostly, but then I couldn’t sleep tonight so I stayed up tweaking her edits and obsessing over every detail. Needless to say I am pretty excited about them! Lets not save the best for last. Check out Laura’s Serious face. Nailed it!

Holly took this next one, and one of our friends posted on her flickr saying it was better then anything I posted for the weekend. I was like ouch! =) But she is pretty sweet I’m not gonna lie!

It seems to be the weekend of flair this weekend since I have been using the 28mm f/1.8 a LOT this is why.

So if you feel like boosting my editing ego I wouldn’t stop ya =) Holly has always whooped me. Keep in mind that most of those are mostly edited by Holly but I just tried to obsess over the details… So I dunno… just leave a comment will ya?!? More to come very very soon!

Heck! What a weekend ya had!

    Okay, lets go through these:

    1. Gorgeous couple, like I told ya earlier.
    2. Good to see that you are on the PP Train, it is a great thing, I still am baffled by your Vignetting Style, I love it. Like I mentioned earlier tonight, I can see the difference in the PP, your special touch, I’m diggin it.
    3. Wide angle + Wide open + Looking down = Awesome. It makes everybody look stunning.
    4. Holly, props to you. Your Photog skills are crazy good.

I love your work Guys, you know that. Keep em coming 😉

    Hi Ryan,
I may not be into the savvy world of taking shots but I do enjoy seeing the pics that you and Holly take. So everytime you do something new, I stop by and take a look. So here is one person that is excited about your work. (there are lots more!) I love that you and Holly can follow an artistic path. I am sure that it is not alway super easy but I know that it can be way rewarding.

    Hey, What a Heck!

I just started wide angle portraits last week and so i really like w-a-ps. The third shot isn’t mine, the couple disappears to much i think. All the others earn my honest THUMBS UP!

    Stunning compositions.

Everything looks fabulous and what a beautiful couple!!! Don’t you just love Lightroom?

I spent like 12 hours on my last engagement session in Lightroom, playing with Presets and adjustment brushes and tweaking everything I could try to learn the system and figure out a style. I ended up creating about 3 or 4 virtual copies of ALL my “5 star” images with different presets on each one. It’s so great.

I LOVE all your sunflare, and I love love love your up-shots. I have to learn how to do that. 😉

Yeah you can spend a lot of time doing cool things, why do you think we charge so much! =) we spend like 40+ hours editing a wedding. But yeah upshots are pretty easy, just grab your 50 wide open, and focus on the eyes shooting down!

Thanks so much for letting me know Ashley! We love being different with our own style, it really helps to stand out and we try to get clients that share our style!

Thanks again Steve! We just do vinetting in Lightroom, and sometimes it looks good sometimes it doesnt. try adjusting the midpoint!

    Holly and Ryan,
as always… amazing shots! For which one takes better, I’d have to say the coin toss would be about even!
